New York Yankees Stadium Overpriced Tickets
Monday, April 27th, 2009The New York Yankees are stating publicly that they are not worried about the number of empty premium seats at the New Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
Since the stadium opened fans have noticed a large number of empty seats along the first and third base lines and in the luxury box suites.
The Yankees took information about the selling price on the secondary market over the past few years to price these seats to upwards of $350 each. The Yankees publicly state they are not worried about the empty seats because it is still early in the season and are anticipating what the sales for those seats will be during highly sought series versus the Red Sox and NY Mets.
Yankees fans are also still upset with the way the Yankees organization downgraded the seats of fans with partial ticket plans.
The Yankees announced last week that they will raise ticket prices in 2010.
